Academic Qualifications

Malaysian qualifications are governed by the MQA framework, ensuring your degree is recognized worldwide.

Foundation O-Level / SSC / Equivalent 5 Credits (including Math/Science)
Diploma O-Level / SSC / Equivalent 3 Credits in relevant subjects
Bachelors (Degree) A-Level / HSC / Foundation CGPA 2.00 or 2 Full Passes
Master's Degree Recognized Bachelor's Degree CGPA 2.50 (Flexible with experience)
Doctorate (PhD) Recognized Master's Degree Subject to Research Proposal

English Language Requirements

Pre-University

IELTS: 4.0 - 5.0

TOEFL: 30 - 31 (iBT)

Undergraduate

IELTS: 5.0 - 5.5

PTE: 47+ Score

Postgraduate

IELTS: 6.0 - 6.5

MUET: Band 4 or 5

*Students from English-speaking countries or those with Medium of Instruction (MOI) certificates may be exempt.

Study Gap Acceptance

Malaysia is highly supportive of students returning to education after a break.

1 - 2 Years Gap

Generally accepted with no additional documents required.

3 - 5 Years Gap

Requires a Statement of Purpose (SOP) or Work Experience proof.

5+ Years Gap

Evaluated based on professional background and mature student entry.
